By Car
By car you will reach Darmstadt via Autobahn A5 or A67. Exit the Autobahn at Darmstädter Kreuz and follow the signs "Darmstadt Mitte". You will go east on Rheinstrasse.
To go to building S2|02 (Hochschulstr. 10) follow Rheinstrasse and take the underpass. Exit the underpass to the left and keep left as you go through the traffic light. Go through the next traffic light and keep right to turn onto Alexanderstr.
To reach building S2|02 turn left onto Magdalenenstr. and after a left curve, again left into Hochschulstr.. At its end on the right hand side, behind the gate lies building S2|02.
(Please use the parking lot "Schloßgarage" or another multi-storey car park in the neighbourhood.)
By plane
You will arrive at the airport Frankfurt/Main. From the airport you take the bus Airliner The bus goes directly to Darmstadt.The bus starts from platform 14, just in front of the Termial 1. The tickets are sold by the driver and cost EUR 6,10. The bus takes about 20 minutes to reach Darmstadt (Hauptbahnhof). Take a bus (direction Luisenplatz) and left it at Luisenplatz. How to reach our department from the Luisenplatz you will find in the description by train.
To take a taxi from the airport costs about EUR 45.
By train
You will arrive at the Main Station of Darmstadt. Use the exit at the east side of the station (Ausgang Ost). There you will find the bus stations. Take line F in direction Fasanerie or Oberwaldhaus. You get tickets at a vending machine at the station or onboard the bus; a ticket costs EUR 1,20.
If you want to go to the building S2|02 (Hochschulstr. 10) leave the bus at the bus stop Alexanderstraße/TU (the trip takes about 10 minutes). You have to go back and on the next crossing, turn left into Magdalenenstr. and again left into Hochschulstr. At its end on the right hand side, walk through the gate to building S2|02.
If you don't want to use the bus, you can go by foot. You need 20 to 30 minutes. In this case, you can use also the exit at the east side of the station (Ausgang Ost). In order to walk to the building S2|02 (Hochschulstr. 10) you have to turn left into Magdalenenstr. and later again left into Hochschulstr. At its end on the right hand side, walk through the gate to building S2|02.
Location of Department of Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science has one location close to the center of Darmstadt. The building S2|02 (Hochschulstr. 10) are in the old part of the TU Darmstadt.
