Research Groups Collaborate in Berlin and Celebrate Copernicus Award Legacy
2024/10/31
The Chair of Applied Cryptography (TU Darmstadt), and the Cryptography and Blockchain Group (University of Warsaw) led by Prof. Stefan Dziembowski, organized a joint seminar trip to Berlin on October 2024. The visit included a research seminar hosted by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Members from both groups presented their latest research in cryptography and blockchains, sparking lively discussions on future directions.
A highlight of the trip was participating in the 10th-anniversary Copernicus Award ceremony at Berlin’s Archenhold Observatory. Prof. Faust and Prof. Dziembowski, who received the award in 2020 for their groundbreaking work on blockchain technology and side-channel attacks, joined their teams in celebrating this milestone for German-Polish scientific collaboration. The event underscored the groups’ longstanding partnership and inspired plans for future joint projects.
