Two papers co-authored by members of the Applied Cryptography Group at TU Darmstadt have been accepted at the prestigious International Conference on the Theory and Applications of Cryptographic Techniques (Eurocrypt 2024). Both papers focus on analyzing the security of cryptographic systems against side-channel attacks.
Accepted Papers:
“From Random Probing to Noisy Leakages Without Field-Size Dependence”
Authors: Gianluca Brian, Stefan Dziembowski, Sebastian Faust
This research explores security models for masking techniques, showing that cryptographic schemes can remain secure even with lower levels of physical noise—an essential insight for systems such as AES encryption and post-quantum cryptography.
