We are delighted to share that Anupam Sanghi, postdoctoral researcher in our group, will be joining IIT Hyderabad, one of India’s leading engineering institutions, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering starting October 2025.

During his time with us at TU Darmstadt, Anupam made valuable contributions to our collaboration with SAP on analyzing the performance of generative models for enterprise data engineering. In addition, he contributed to research on synthetic data and query workload generation to enable more adaptive testing of database systems. Finally, he also initiated work on benchmarking database systems, focusing on extending benchmarking beyond traditional performance comparisons toward a more holistic assessment of system adaptability and reliability.

We warmly congratulate Anupam on this important career milestone and look forward to seeing him establish his own group and pursue innovative research in database systems.
