Short Biography:

Simon Althaus is a doctoral researcher in the area of Smart Protection in Infrastructures and Networks (SPIN) at the Telecooperation Lab.

Simon joined SPIN and the Research Training Group 2050 “Privacy and Trust for Mobile Users” in February 2022.

He received his M.Sc. degree in computer science (with minor in economics and law) from TU Darmstadt in 2021.

Research Interests:

- Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) and Transparency Enhancing Tools (TETs)

- Monitoring user activity and data collection of applications

- Network security

- Machine learning
