More than half of the world’s population lives in cities today, and by 2050, 7 of every 10 people will live in massive urban centers. Rapid urbanization presents cities with complex challenges, from socio-economic and environmental problems to issues involving infrastructure and governance. In this seminar we will have a look at different technical approaches to cope with these different challenges, e.g. traffic prediction, analysis of environmental data or disaster preparation and management.
