Survey on Edge Computing published in IEEE Access

TK researchers got an extensive survey about edge computing accepted to IEEE Access, IEEE's premier open access journal.

The article entitled “What the Fog? Edge Computing Revisited: Promises, Applications and Future Challenges” provides not only a snapshot of the current edge computing landscape, but starts from a re-definition and characterization of the entire field. As another major contribution, the article reviews suggested application use cases for edge computing and analyzes the benefits of edge computing for particular use cases.
