Short bio

I am a doctoral researcher at the Telecooperation lab since May 2016. Prior to joining Technische Universität Darmstadt, I obtained my diploma from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

I am interested in many aspects of computer science including cryptography, computational trust and network security, aiming to create trust on systems and between people. My current thesis research focuses on improving defences against zero-day attacks by probabilistically assessing the security strength of software and incentivizing collaboration among defenders. Other research projects I am currently involved in are: decentralized applications using smart contracts (security alert marketplace, decentralized energy trading in developing countries), and password strength estimation.

Apart from research, I very much enjoy sports, especially basketball and football.
