Short Biography

Tim Grube studied computer science with a focus on distributed systems until 2014. In 2015, he joined the Software Campus, a leadership development programm for excellent PhD students of the BMBF, with his project “Complexity Reduction in Big Data” (KomBi). In 2018, Tim Grube obtained his PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) with the thesis “Efficient Anonymous Group Communication”. Since December 2018, he is Area Head of the “Smart Protection in Infrastructures and Networks” (SPIN) group with 7 researchers within the Telecooperation Lab under Prof. Mühlhäuser in Darmstadt. Starting 2019, Tim Grube is also coordinating the research training group (doctoral college/Graduiertenkolleg) “Privacy and Trust for Mobile Users” with 11 PhD student positions.

Beyond the research training group, Tim Grube is also working on several projects and working groups, e.g., the DFG Project AnonPubSub (starting 2017), the National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity CRISP (starting 2019), AG CYSIS of Deutsche Bahn (2018/19).
