Bachelor Praktikum
Software Project

Bachelor Praktikum

This practical course presents an opportunity to implement a complex, real life software project. The clients providing the projects come from departments within the TU Darmstadt.

Detailed information on the course can be found here.

Organization

Digital semester WiSe 2020/21: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this course will take place remotely. Team and client meetings should be held remotely. The presentation training and final talk will also take place via remote conference and all lecture materials will be provided via moodle (https://moodle.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/course/view.php?id=962).

For better capacity planning, please fill out this survey https://goto.dm.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/bp/20-Stud/. It is non-binding, you will still need to sign up via TUCaN and the moodle course.

Students work in groups of 4-5 on a software project for the duration of the entire semester. They will regularly meet with their client to discuss their current progress and identify further requirements in an agile development process. Within this course each group gets assistance from a tutor to guarantee the success of the project. The development process includes documenting the development process as well as implementing methods for quality assurance. The final result will be presented in a short talk for which the students receive training from designated coaches in two sessions.
