I am interested in exploring methods for effectively integrating multiple modalities in ways that can ultimately positively impact human lives, focusing on efficiency and adaptability. Specifically, I am interested in making machine learning systems adaptive, for instance changing the budget used to learn or infer each sample flexibly, or modifying the model's knowledge continuously.
These adaptive capabilities are particularly important in multimodal systems, where the redundancy both across and within modalities can be leveraged to improve efficiency.
