The → Multimodal AI Lab, jointly led by → Prof. Dr. Anna Rohrbach and → Prof. Dr. Marcus Rohrbach, conducts research at the intersection of computer vision, neural language processing, and machine learning / AI. Founded in 2023, the lab is part of the → Department of Computer Science at → TU Darmstadt in Darmstadt, Germany.
Our mission
Our mission is to advance the science and understanding of multimodal learning, making highly impactful contributions to the scientific community and society. We aim to build multimodal AI models which are human-centric, effective, trustworthy, and reliable.

Projekt „Reasonable Artificial Intelligence“ erhält Förderung als Exzellenzcluster
Eine neue Generation von Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI), die auf „vernünftigere“ Art lernen kann – daran forschen Wissenschaftler:innen des neuen Exzellenzclusters „Reasonable Artificial Intelligence“ (RAI) unter Leitung der TU Darmstadt. Das Projekt wurde in einem mehrstufigen Wettbewerb im Rahmen der renommierten Exzellenzstrategie des Bundes und der Länder ausgewählt. Die begehrte Förderung bestätigt damit erneut die ausgezeichnete Forschung und langjährige Expertise im Bereich der Künstlichen Intelligenz, für die die TU Darmstadt seit langem steht.
