Applicants should describe their motivation for applying, and include a CV and all relevant transcripts with grades. PostDoc applicants should additionally include a publication list, 3 selected publications, and the names and contact information of at least three references. A strong publication record in relevant top conferences (e.g. SIGMOD, VLDB) is a prerequisite. PhD applicants should additionally include name and contact information of at least two references (such as the Master’s thesis supervisor) and, if applicable/available, results from graduate tests and information on prior research experience.

The working language of the research group as well as the instruction language of the teaching assistant duties is English. The positions will be paid at a competitive level (PhD position – E13; PostDoc position – E13 or E14, depending on the qualification).
