The goal of the Scholarship is to create gender equality in the tech industry by encouraging women to excel as active participants and leaders in the field.

Kristina Hostáková, who is a researcher at the Profile Area CYSEC and the Collaborative Research Center CROSSING, applied with several essays regarding being a strong female leader and encouraging women to pursue a career in computer science. She was able to develop some of these skills during her time at TU Darmstadt: “I want to thank CROSSING for their support. CROSSING supported me to participate in an Ingenium workshop on the topic of Female Leadership. Moreover, CROSSING sponsored Crossfyre that women from our group and me organized as a co-located event to EuroCrypt conference last year. The topic of the workshop was to bring together young female researchers in crypto. I believe that both of these items on my CV could have significantly helped during the application process.”
