PAT members organise 1st Interdisciplinary Workshop on Privacy and Trust (iPAT) at ARES conference, one of Europe's prime conferences for security related research.

Members of the Doctoral College organize the 1st Interdisciplinary Workshop on Privacy and Trust (iPAT) which is held in conjunction with the ARES conference, one of Europe's prime conferences for security related research. It will be held from August 27 to August 30, 2018 at the University of Hamburg, Germany.

The goal of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers from different discplines such as computer science, law, sociology, psychology to cover the various aspects of privacy and trusted in today's connected world.

The programm of the workshop starts with a keynote given by Simone Fischer-Hübner with the topic “Usable Privacy & Security Preserving Services in the Cloud” talking about the end user perspective and HCI requirements for privacy-enhancing services developed in the cloud context. After that, four accepted papers will be presented encouraging fruitful discussions about privacy and trust from a interdisciplinary slant.

The workshop is organized by a team of (former) PhD students of the doctoral college
