Two RTG PIs among winners of the German IT-Security Award 2020

The first prize in the 8. German IT-Security Award 2020 was awarded to Dr. Haya Shulman (Fraunhofer SIT). Her project “CacheTest” aims at improving internet security by dejecting injection vulnerability of DNS records. Prof. Dr. Thomas Schneider won the second prize along with Christian Weinert, Matthias Senker, Daniel Kales and Christian Rechberger with their submission “ContactGuard”, a privacy-preserving solution for mobile contact discovery.

The renowned prize is awarded every two years by the Horst Görtz Foundation with the objective to promote science and technology in research and education with a special focus on information security.
