Laura Hetz: 1st Prize at Frauen-MINT-Award 2023 with her Master Thesis

Laura Hetz won the the first prize at Frauen-MINT-Award 2023 with her Master thesis on “Communication-Efficient Privacy-Preserving Mobile Contact Discovery“. Laura Hetz studied at TU Darmstadt and her thesis supervisor was Dr. Christian Weinert, a former member of the ENCRYPTO research group headed by RTG Privacy and Trust PI Prof. Dr. Thomas Schneider.

The award ceremony took place on 27.10.2023 in Berlin. One of the aims of “MINT Zukunft schaffen” is to promote the commitment of young female MINT academics. Numerous female students submitted outstanding theses on the topics of 'Cyber Attacks and Cyber Defense', 'Cyber Security' and 'Artificial Intelligence'. Laura published and presented the results of her thesis at ESORICS 2023. The full version of the paper is available on eprint. The thesis was already awarded with the 1. Prize of the CAST M.Sc. Award IT Security 2023.
