2017/05/12

Eurocrypt is one of the three flagship conferences of the IACR (International Association for Cryptographic Research) and was lately held from 28.04 – 4.05.2017. The program of this year‘s Eurocrypt in Paris aimed at having a broad spectrum across theoretic and practice-oriented cryptographic research.

There was a number of affiliated workshops on Saturday and Sunday. One of those workshops was CrossFyre, a gathering dedicated to further the networking opportunities for female young researchers in the area of Cryptography, Robustness, and Provably Secure Schemes. Subsequent to invited talks by senior researchers/professors Nadia Heninger, Ioana Boureanu, Catuscia Palamidessi and many other young female attendants, there was a panel discussion about the obstacles one encounters as a female researcher and how to overcome them.
