Are you a female student in computer science, electrical engineering or IT? Apply by 21 May 2023 for the Female Student Travel Award 2023 to win one of eight stipends to attend a conference of your choice.

In 2023, we celebrate 10 years of supporting female students with our travel stipend!

With the Female Student Travel Award, the Research Training Group Privacy & Trust, the collaborative research centers CROSSING and MAKI, and the LOEWE center emergenCITY recognize exceptionally well performances of female students in computer science, electrical engineering, and information technology. The eight winners can attend one of the listed conferences, which are focused on connecting female researchers in computer science and engineering, to take advantage of the excellent networking opportunities during these events.

Please apply with a letter of motivation, your CV, your personal performance summary (TUCaN-Leistungsspiegel), and a description of your connection or interest to the field of research of the RTG Privacy & Trust, MAKI, CROSSING, or emergenCITY. Optionally you can include which conference you attended or plan to attend.

For the two stipends offered by our RTG Privacy&Trust, students of all our RTG research partner universities can apply, i.e. female students of TU Darmstadt, Goethe University Frankfurt, and Kassel University.

Notifications will be sent out by mid of June and the awards will be presented to the winners during the “Ruzena Bajcsy Lecture” on 23 June 2023 from 1 to 3 pm. The speaker at this event will be Prof. Dr. Eleni Chatzi from ETH Zurich. Please block this date.
