The Simulation, System Optimization and Robotics (SIM) department, headed by Prof. Oskar von Stryk, conducts research into cooperating autonomous mobile robots, biologically inspired robots and numerical optimization and control methods. The department was founded in 2000 and is part of the Department of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt in Darmstadt.
