Augmented Reality for Privacy-Aware surveillance
Bachelor Thesis, Master Thesis
The recent advances in smart city infrastructure have provided support for a higher adoption of surveillance cameras as a mainstream crime prevention measure. However, a consequent massive deployment raises concerns about privacy issues among citizens. Augmented reality (AR) offers the needed flexibility to alter the visual data captured by cameras to achieve the needed trade-off between privacy and security.
Goal
Implement and evaluate an already elaborated concept for AR-based environment visualization that guarantees an acceptable trade-off between privacy and security.
Requirements
- Programming experience is required.
- Mobile programming experience is desirable.
- Experience with AR libraries (ARKit, ARCore, …) is desirable.
- Eagerness to learn and work hard
