Directions

Being a stop for ICE, IC and EC trains, Darmstadt is very well connected to the long-distance network of Deutsche Bahn. There are local transport connections to Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Aschaffenburg, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Erbach and Eberbach.

There are tram and bus connections from Darmstadt main station to all TU locations.

City centre

From Darmstadt main station you can take the bus lines F (Oberwaldhaus), H (Alfred-Messel-Weg) and K (TU Lichtwiese/Mensa) or the tram lines 2 and 3. Get off at the Schloss stop. The TU entrance building karo 5, the Piloty building and the building at Kantplatz are only a few minutes' walk away.

Mornewegstraße

From the main railway station, walk past the CineMaxx cinema in a few minutes directly to the location at Mornewegstraße 30-32. Alternatively, you can take various lines to the Berliner Allee stop on Rheinstraße and walk across the car park past the Techniker Krankenkasse directly to the location at Mornewegstraße 30-32.

You can reach Darmstadt via the A5 motorways (from Frankfurt/M. – Heidelberg/Basel) and A67 (from Cologne/Wiesbaden – Mannheim). At the Darmstadt motorway junction, take the Darmstadt/Stadtmitte exit.

Coming from the Darmstadt motorway junction, follow Rheinstraße/B26 along the signs for Darmstadt/Stadtmitte into the City-Ring-Tunnel.

In the City-Ring-Tunnel, take the left exit and turn left at the following traffic lights into Kirchstraße. Continue to the second set of traffic lights and turn into Alexanderstraße until you reach the entrance to the Schlossgarage/Karolinenplatz car park on the left. The TU entrance building karo 5, the Piloty building and the building at Kantplatz are only a few minutes' walk away.

For information on other parking facilities in the city centre, please refer to the websites of the city of Darmstadt.

Frankfurt Rhine-Main International Airport is located 25 km from Darmstadt. At the airport, regional bus lines are available at Arrivals Area B of Terminal 1 and Arrivals Area D+E of Terminal 2. We recommend the AirLiner express bus (Terminals 1 and 2), which will take you comfortably and quickly (journey time approx. 30 minutes) from the airport to Darmstadt Central Station, Luisenplatz and the darmstadtium congress centre. From there you can reach all the locations in the city centre in just a few minutes on foot.

At Darmstadt Main Station and Luisenplatz there are public transport connections by train and bus to all TU locations.
