Professor Iryna Gurevych is elected as a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities

Professor Iryna Gurevych has been elected as a full member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences (BBAW).

A day before Leibniz Day, on June the 3rd 2022, during a ceremony, the certificate of membership was presented to Professor Gurevych and the other 12 newly elected members.

The Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities is a learned society with more than 300 years of tradition of uniting outstanding scholars and scientists across national and disciplinary boundaries. Among other things, it serves to promote science, performs tasks of social and political advice and promotes the dialogue between science and society. The academy has a total of around 400 members and 80 Nobel Prize winners have shaped its history.

Professor Gurevych is appointed to the BBAW due to her excellent scientific achievements, and belongs to the technical science class of the Academy.
