Prof. Christian F. Hempelmann, an Associate Professor of Computational Linguistics and Director of the Ontological Semantic Technology Lab at Texas A&M University­-Commerce, visited UKP Lab on July 3 and 4.

On July 3 he gave an invited talk “Can the Meaning of Funny be a Number?”.

UKP researchers had a great opportunity to discuss their research with the invited guest and exchange ideas on various issues in the fields of Computational Semantics and the Linguistics of Humor.
