On 22 March 2016 UKP doctoral candidate Tristan Miller successfully defended his thesis, Adjusting Sense Representations for Word Sense Disambiguation and Automatic Pun Interpretation.

The referees of the dissertation were Iryna Gurevych (TU Darmstadt), Rada Mihalcea (University of Michigan), and Wolf-Tilo Balke (TU Braunschweig). The committee was composed of Reiner Hähnle, Chris Biemann, and Heinz Köppl.
