The Master of Science program Internet and Web-based Systems deepens the skills and knowledge acquired in the Bachelor’s degree program about the systematical processing of information and communication using digital devices. This specialized Master's degree program offered by the department of Informatics focuses on methods, design, technology, and applications of the internet and looks at its development. Global networks are firmly embedded at work and in day-to-day life and play a key role in the world of the business management on the one hand and create an entirely new framework for knowledge management, media, and communications as well as for text and language processing on the other. In the course of the studies, the topics of Computer Networks, Information and Language Processing, Web and Text-based Systems, Distributed Systems, and Ubiquitous Computing can be studied more in depth within the elective subject areas.
