JWPL goes open source

The JWPL Wikipedia API is now available under the GPL v3 license.

The main features include:

• Fast and efficient access to Wikipedia
• Parser for the MediaWiki syntax
• Language independent
• Tools for reconstructing past states of Wikipedia

We hope that JWPL will foster research in this field and will allow researcher to more easily work with the large amounts of knowledge provided by Wikipedia.
