1st Symposium Web Research

The interdisciplinary research group Web Research Center Darmstadt (WeRC) of the TU Darmstadt, which has been established in March 2010, organizes the 1st Symposium under the leadership of the Department of Computer Science at the TU Darmstadt. The organizers of this Symposium are Prof. Dr. Iryna Gurevych (UKP Lab) and Prof. Dr. Johannes Fürnkranz (Knowledge Engineering).

As guests, WeRC invited the German Institute of International Pedagogical Research (DIPF) in Frankfurt and the Department of Media from the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt to participate in the Symposium. Various talks will discuss the Web as the object of research from the perspective of different scientific disciplines. Defining a common research agenda and planning joint research projects and cooperation are the major goals of the Research Group WeRC.
