UKP Lab has built and presented a system in the CrossLingual Link Discovery Task at the 9th NTCIR Workshop Meeting. The task requires automatically finding potential links between the Wikipedia documents in different languages.

For discovering interlingual links from English (En) Wikipedia articles to Chinese (Zh), Japanese (Ja), and Korean (Ko) Wikipedia articles, the UKP Lab’s system based on the Darmstadt Knowledge Processing Software Repository (DKPro) produced the best Mean-Average-Precision (MAP) scores for En-Zh and En-Ko language pairs in the File-to-File with manual assessment and Anchor-to-File with Wikipedia ground truth assessment evaluations. Among 11 participants, 7 teams submitted results for En-Zh, and 6 teams, En-Ko.
