Start of cooperation between UKP/TU Darmstadt and DIPF

An event tonight marks the start of the alliance for educational computer science between the UKP Lab of the Technische Universität Darmstadt and the Leibniz Institute for Educational Research and Educational Information (DIPF). The cooperation between the two institutes will promote basic research in educational information. The partners have furthermore agreed to establish a joint professorship for knowledge assessment. The focus of cooperation will be on computer science methods for empirical educational research and innovative educational information.

The event, to take place at 18:00 at the Hessian State Archives in Darmstadt, will feature introductions from Prof. Petra Gehring, Vice President of TU Darmstadt and Dr. Susanne Eickemeier of the Hessian Ministry for Science and the Arts, and presentations by Prof. Marc Rittberger of DIPF and Prof. Iryna Gurevych of the UKP Lab at TU Darmstadt.
