Department profile

On May 15, 1972, the Department of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt began its journey into the future. It is thus one of the very first departments of computer science in Germany. Today, we offer a broad spectrum of topics in basic and application-oriented research as well as in teaching. In the research field "Information + Intelligence", our scientists drive the profile topics of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity & Privacy, and Complex, Networked Systems, and are involved in other research fields and profile topics. Through this, we shape the scientific profile of TU Darmstadt, one of the leading research-oriented technical universities in Germany. Through our top researchers and excellent graduates, we help shaping our digitalized world – for a safe and livable future.
