2022/06/20

The RTG Privacy and Trust (GRK 2050) was the oldest RTG to take part in the workshop that was held from June 12th to 15th, 2022. For the first time after two years of online meetings, the Workshop happened in-person in its regular venue in Schloss Dagstuhl – Leibniz Center for Informatics. The Joint Workshop is the traditional annual meeting for the German Research Training Groups funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in the field of Computer Science.

Members of our RTG participate in the workshop every year. This year, three PhD students presented posters with their ongoing work: Simon Althaus (B.2) , Matthias Gazzari(C.1) , and Olga Sanina(D.2) . Scientific Coordinator Dr. Ephraim Zimmer(D.4) held the talk to introduce the RTG PAT.

Besides presentations of the projects by funded researchers, participants could enjoy network meetings and two invited talks: “Competitions as Scientific Method” by Professor Martina Seidl (JKU Linz, Austria) and “An introduction to research paper mills” by Professor Jennifer Byrne (School of Medical Sciences, The University of Sydney, Australia).

The proceedings with the abstracts of the research topics of funded researchers are available online.
