    Prof. Esma Aïmeur was invited as a “Visiting Professor” from 07/05/2017-14/05/17 by the GRK-2050. She was invited in TU Darmstadt to strengthen the scientific exchange regarding privacy in social networks and electronic commerce.

    Jaqueline Brendel attended CrossFyre / Eurocrypt 2017 conference in Paris

    Eurocrypt is one of the three flagship conferences of the IACR (International Association for Cryptographic Research) and was lately held from 28.04 – 4.05.2017. The program of this year‘s Eurocrypt in Paris aimed at having a broad spectrum across theoretic and practice-oriented cryptographic research.

    Louise Axon was invited as a “Guest Researcher” from 20/02/2017-22/02/17 by the GRK-2050. She was invited in TU Darmstadt to strengthen the scientific exchange regarding network security monitoring.

    Dr. Paul Gardner-Stephen from Flinders University, Australia visted our RTG at the end of 2016

    Dr. Paul Gardner-Stephen (Senior Lecturer, Flinders University, Australia) has been selected as one of the Mercator fellows of the GRK 2050. His initial visit took place from 05.10.2016 to 21.01.2017. Prof. Hollick acted as the host of Dr. Gardner-Stephen. The fellowship is closely linked with Research Areas B (Privacy and Trust in Social Networks) and C (Privacy and Trust in Sensor-Augmented Environments) of the Doctoral College GRK PAT.

    Eröffnung Eltern-Kind-Büro

    Am 20.12.2016 wurde das neu eingerichtete, und aus Gleichstellungsmitteln des Graduiertenkollegs Privacy and Trust for Mobile Users finanzierte Eltern-Kind-Büro im alten Hauptgebäude von Professor Oliver Hinz, Gleichstellungsbeauftragter des GRK, und Professor Max Mühlhäuser, Sprecher des GRK, im Rahmen einer kleinen Feierstunde eröffnet.

    Vortragsreihe „Studentinnen für Wissenschaft begeistern“

    Wie bereits angekündigt, startete am 07.12.2016 die kleinen Vortragsreihe „Studentinnen für Wissenschaft begeistern“ mit dem ersten Beitrag von Frau Dr. Irina Heimbach (TUD) zum Thema „The Impact of Sharing Mechanism Design on Content Sharing in Online Social Networks“.
