To ensure equal opportunities in higher education, compensation can be granted for disadvantages arising from disability, chronic or serious illness. This can include support for conditions such as rheumatism or arthritis (which can cause writing difficulties), poor concentration, and dyslexia (which can cause reading and spelling difficulties).

To apply for disadvantage compensation, please send an informal letter enclosing the relevant medical or psychological certificate. These documents must not be more than 12 months old at the time of application.

A disability-related compensation claim can only be considered, and granted if applicable, if a corresponding medical or psychological certificate/attestation is available.

• Extension of exam time by xx%;
• Writing in a separate room;
• Oral instead of written exams;
• Non-consideration of spelling or punctuation;
• Use of technical aids (e.g. laptops).
